To maintain our certifications, you must earn a certain number of PDUs every 3 years.
What are PDUs?
Professional development units (PDUs) are one-hour blocks of time you spend learning, teaching others, or volunteering in the project management industry.
PDUs help learners maintain their PMI certification status with several courses and events ratified by PMI as being aligned to the PMI Talent Triangle.
The PMI Talent Triangle alignment ensures that courses or events provide the learner with additional skills in the following categories.
This means that not only is the course or event reviewed for its completeness, quality, content, and delivery approach, but that it is also balanced correctly across these three (3) skill areas.
To renew a PMI certification, a certain amount of units must be collected and further broken down into education and giving back every three (3) years.

How is the Wellingtone Academy Different?
The Wellingtone Academy courses are aligned and accredited with the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Association for Project Management (APM), and the International Project Management Association (IPMA).
The process means the courses are independently assessed for completeness, content, relevancy, delivery approach, and newness to the industry. These accreditations mean that the Wellingtone Academy courses are considered to be among the best by these associations.
The Wellingtone Academy is the only global organization that has been and continues to be independently assessed and verified by three (3) official associations for project management in the world.

How do I access these courses?
Our courses are being made available on the PMI website under the section for PDU courses. Once you select them, your PDUs will be preloaded. This means you can decide on your best learning journey informed with how the PDUs will support your learning pathway.
On completion of the course, the PDUs will be automatically applied to your PMI development account so you can see your units racking up.
Will the PMI PMP become part of the Wellingtone Academy catalog?
At this moment in time, we are looking at the options for our trainers to deliver the PMP. For now, we’re keeping busy with our current catalog. But keep your eyes peeled for news on our catalog expanding to include this in the future.
What about Wellingtone Events?
Some of our Wellingtone Community events also count towards your PMI PDUs and can provide units for you to log. When we organize an appropriate course, it will also be made available on the PMI website so that you can select it.
You’ll be provided with a PDU code once you have registered and attended (fully) the event. If you access our events through our online LinkedIn Community or our website it will be clear which events are PDU applicable and which are not.
How do I get started?
You can register for our online training courses at any point throughout the year. We hold one course per month, meaning you’ll always have an opportunity to join us.
